Front engine mount.

Post by Marcwithac » Fri Jan 27, 2017 9:17 pm

Hi peeps,

Am after torque settings for the front engine mount please? I think the bolts that hold it to the block are 55Nm (?) but also need the large 50 ish mm one and the three (15mm?) that hold the link bar to the rubber mount.

Hope that makes sense!

Front engine mounting bracket 69Nm - which I assume to mean the four off 10mm to the shell although these are M8, sounds a bit keen.

Front engine mounting bracket to cylinder block 55Nm - which I assume to be the three 15mm nut through the alu on to the splines

No mention of the big nut - 41mm if you are having a search for info on it. M10 thread and through alu so I'd be saying similar to the 15mm at the other end. You might find its not in the manual because the mount comes off as one without touching it.

Very old thread I know. But thanks for the info and for confirming my measurement before getting a really big socket to take the mount off.
