The rear, passenger side speaker is no longer working, drivers side works fine. Not sure how long this has been the case, but if im listening to a song with lots of base, the faulty one occasionally crackles when the bass kicks in (like it cant handle the bass) but now seems to be totally quiet.

Any ideas??

Thanks

you'll to try a known working one on end of the speaker wires.

You may've blown the speaker, or have a broken wire, the above will tell you which

Blown the speaker?! I don't have my music THAT loud! :S

An amplifier clipping kills more speakers than pure power.

They are not the best speakers in the world as standard, so could have quite possibly blown / wire come off etc.

Do you have a standard head unit or after market? If you can get behind the radio you could measure the resistance across the rear speaker terminals to see if they're different and hence one possibly blown / not connected.
