Hello,

i have a problem with my engine ....

this last weekend i do 500 km with the puma on german autobahn ....
when i back to home .... have a bad surprise ...

oil level was very low, but just before i go, oil level is perfect ... (i use 5w40 Elf oil)

i don't see any leak on the engine, no leak on oil filter, oil drain plug, cams cover ...

but i've see oil in the intake system ...

so i think the piston ring are tired ..... but i search on the internet,
i found 1.4 and 1.6 pistons rings .... but impossible to find 1.7 rings ???

it's not available :? :'( ????

i thinks the oil consumption takes place when the engine is on hight rpm and oil temperature ...

if i use 5w50 or 10w60 engine oil or an oil cooler, i have less oil comsuption ????

thanks for your help

It could also be the valve stem oil seals?

I'm not sure about the piston rings as I've never had anything to do with them but people that may know are Wild E or Chris from Allison Automotive.

I'm not sure I'd want to start using different oil.

Hello,

If it just valve seal, it work to change them, need to change cambelt kit on this engines.
But not a too Big problem,

But i'm scary to can't rebuild correctly the engine just because some important part aren't available
