Hi guys, I have some water leaking in the driver's and passenger's footwell. I removed the isolation and I saw holes covered by rubber. I am wondering why they are used?

Drainage holes during production? Wet foot-wells are usually a sign of leaking HCV/heater exchanger.

hmmm leaking HCV can be an issue, but in my case leaking only when raining. I am wondering from where the water is coming

If the footwell is damp, could be the drainage hose from A/C system. It is odly shaped (dogleg) and it collects dirt at kink. Clean that, up to half a kilo of dirt is inside; once it blocks drainage of condensed water it starts overflowing and damping the footweel.
Check the grommet under the wiper motor, it is most probably perished.
The other possible point of entry is up. On Pumapeople there is a good guide for the water ingress on puma..

Pass side can be were the main wiring from ecu and internal fuse box to engine. Driver side can also be selent gone behind wing gard. Plus drainage holes mentioned in other posts

My LHD Puma leaks water into the driver's side footwell when it rains. It seems to somehow get past the door seal. I have tried all sorts of remedies but have never been able to totally eradicate the problem.
