Help! My alarm doesnt seem to be activated. Tried it by locking with the boot up but no sound emitted from the car!

Any clues? I want to hear it then I know its safe to leave parked - well - just in case!

Thankyou thankyou thankyou :(

For a start, leaving the boot up makes no difference. ;)

Leave a window down, double lock the doors, and try opening door using the handle from inside. Your alarm should go off.

Just in case you don't know - quite common as the cars get older, and people mislay the owner's book - there are two ways to double lock, and arm the alarm.

1. From the remote fob: press the lock button twice, and the indicators will flash twice to show it's locked. You'll hear another mechanism move in the doors too.

2. Using the key. Turn the key to unlock, then lock. The indicators will flash the same to show it's double locked.

That's as sophisticated as the standard Ford alarm gets. ;)

Hi Cherie, thankyou so much for that! I can sleep at night if it works!

Just in case it doesnt though, what do you suggest or where do I loo to find the mechanism on my lil silver boy Pips?

Like the Millenium, ver ver nice!
