YouTube Links

Post by red » Fri Nov 02, 2007 3:05 pm

I have enabled functionality for posting embedded YouTube media.

Please respect copyright notices i.e. I accept no responsibility for illegal content which is posted, it is the responsibility of the user posting the links to ensure that they are allowed to do so.

Also please keep these to 1 per thread so as not to slow everything down ;)

Thanks,

Red

Note to self: (youtube)* followed by normal weblink followed by (/youtube) is how you do it!

*Obviously I know it is [] but can't use that to explain

Or highlight the link and then click the youtube button above the full text input

Code: Select all

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdUh-S-5dJA
Which will make it look like this:

Code: Select all

Or in a picture:

Been trying to post a YouTube clip and it doesn't work. All it shows is the code. :?

How very strange. Earlier on I tried to post a clip and all I got was the code come up, now I've tried it again and it worked! :? :?: I tried the exact same process as before too....except, maybe....Hmm....Tell me, does the YouTube post function work with the quick post at the bottom of the screen? First time I tried I used that, but just now, when it worked, I clicked on the post reply function.

UPDATE (2016/07/26):

To embed use something like the below as per the original way (with now added support for the HTTPS links)

Code: Select all

OR (short links)

Code: Select all

[youtu_be]https://youtu.be/xocjVUfxxM4[/youtu_be]

I've literally only just added the short link function, video displays slightly differently (better I think).
