Photobucket P500. At Least Dick Turpin Wore a Mask.....

These posts are currently being scanned and of the 50,200 photo links found so far, 36,000 are Photobucket.

That's an inordinate number of photos :!:

Its there some referrer witchcraft going on so you can't just get the image as it'll bounce about and give you a page wrapper and extra faffing? If not good news, might take a while but a list of jpg urls would work. Although I fear they won't make it that easy.

Incidentally I was considering removing the paid subscription from Corsa Sport as the member numbers were so small it just made the site plain with fewer images. There are certainly some people who would support but you have to be careful not to lock it down too much.

Peep gallery should be fairly public, you'd need an account on there but I'm sure once the images are up they can be republished anywhere. You're right the image content gets quite big quite quickly but the bandwidth used to cost more than the storage when the traffic was higher. Costs you more to serve than to store.

Yes Ian, that's the other concern (bandwidth) if we have them hosted here. One thing at a time.

Bit simpler.

Get the PB url

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b85/p ... ue6006.jpg

Find the string after albums/ and before the next /

Spoof the referrer with it

http://photobucket.com/gallery/user/b85/media/

Spoof the user agent and it'll come in with wget

Just set the Peep set going, 15k rows but they're coming in fairly fast, about 10% of the way through and its been going less than half an hour.

Post table update scares me more as you may have to consider who wants to retain PB hosting, I know some images continued to work which I assume may mean people have paid PB. Be nice to also request the pic without having spoof the referrer to see what comes back and if its the placeholder one that's when you'd do the update.

My images work still, I don't pay, I assume it's because I don't have a whole lot hosted there or it's not using a lot of traffic.

I've implemented a bit of a change, please keep an eye on all threads, Demonskulls look better but in some instances even if you visit the photobucket site directly, manually in a browser they are displaying the holding image so pulling them is pointless.

I've had to jig around the way images are displayed on the site a bit so if anything looks unusual please let me know.

I got that a bit, once it decides to give you the 'please upgrade' pic you can get that even from the site when you're not hotlinking

Mine finished this morning, only 2.57Gb
