Certificate warning..

Postby red » Mon Sep 11, 2017 5:11 pm

Hi all,

Just to reassure everyone, I'm aware of the certificate issue and it will be fixed on Friday or Saturday when I get back to the laptop.

In the meantime, I don't usually recommend adding exceptions for sites but it's safe to bypass it temporarily assuming the warning is only saying expired.

Apologies again..

Thanks @red

Adding the exception on a computer is not a problem, but Chrome on an android device won't let me add an exception for some reason. It requests confirmation (twice) on each page change and won't let me type in the message fields.

I am not complaining, I am just curious if it is the same for everyone using an Android device or just my set up (I have tried the 8 Android devices that I usually use and they all react the same).

Seems OK on my Androids, but I'm using the Dolphin browser. I just have to 'Allow/Trust' once at the start and then it's fine after that.

Thanks Frank, it's probably Chrome being overly cautious.

I haven't tried the Dolphin browser, I may have to give it a try at some point.

I'll try harder next time to make sure I either have a way to fix it when I'm away or..that it actually works like I've intended it to!
