Due to new data processing/protection regulations we will be reviewing the personally identifiable information we hold here.

We have already purged all user accounts which have never been activated and next for removal will be accounts which are registered and active but have not logged in for the last twelve months and have never posted.

The trouble is that we'd probably then get stitched up with exporting EU data to non-EU countries which I expect is even more of a minefield when users didn't initially sign-up to that.

It might all come to nothing but at least if we've shown a willingness to try it's better than having done nothing.

I found it rather ironic, that companies updating their privacy policies led to an influx of unwanted emails to my inbox which has made me feel a real lack of privacy...
