Hi Matt
You had me panicking then, I just checked Postimage and there was all sorts of unsavoury allegations but dug a bit deeper and it's actually postimages.org and all my photos are still there.

Hi Barry,

I'm glad they're all still there! They must have changed something thought because this is one of your pictures from the first page: https://postimg.org/image/t93tv7zq7/ and it might just be me but this isn't reachable?

So currently I'm under the impression that everything is working. 8-)

The only pages I've found with missing images are ones where people have deleted them from their hostings.

I've hopefully just fixed an issue which has been on-going for ages, User Registration confirmation emails and Password Reset emails. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I also just found that ALL the emails where people have tried to contact me about this have been going to an non-monitored email address, I thought it was set to come to mine but apparently not.

Good spot, I'll look at getting it back soon. It is still there on the top right of the mobile site. In the meanwhile you can use this link.

I have noticed that while images are shown now, they are probably forced at native resolution or something, without scaling and as a result almost none of them are shown properly? Perhaps something to look at when time allows?

Cheers,

Paul, they still exist, this is now on my list. There is a check that goes on in the background looking for missing images, when found it flags them and that stock images appears in their place. For some reason it's going rogue and flagging images as missing when they are not. I've temporarily unflagged all missing images so that your sig shows up :)

Wild E. do you have an example page that I can use for testing?

New list:

  • Images erroneously get flagged as missing

  • Search bar missing
  • Image scaling

I am not sure what you mean? Barry's thread was the first that caught my attention with this and then checked few others and it is the same thing...?

Wild E, could you copy a link to where you have seen the problem with images? I have looked at Barrys thread and the ones I've checked are looking ok.

The big ones now have scrolling bar under them. If that is how it is supposed to be, then ok. But before you could see the complete picture scaled down so it fits the window, but by clicking on it you would get the (bigger) original from the hosting site?
So maybe it is not a bug, but a feature from now on? :?:

No that doesn't sound right but I can't see anywhere it's doing that.

The images should just fit in the post and click to see bigger.

Go to Barry's thread, the last page of it, the Carver picture and the two after that one, for example..?

I think we must be seeing different things, this is how it looks for me, no scroll bars and click to open:

Which browser do you use? Could you try a Ctrl+F5 to see if it helps?

I've just made some changes to how the random image is done at the top of the page to improve the appearance on mobile devices, if you are seeing a double image then you will need to clear your browser cache using Ctrl+F5 or clearing history.

I am using at work IE on windows 7. At home safari on mac. Both are behaving the same. Just cleared cashe on IE and no change... Is there something to adjust somewhere? Tried compatibility view settings and added PP but no improvement...

EDIT: now tried firefox on windows and it is showing everything properly. Will try emptying cache at home on mac and see if that improves anything...

IE for me was giving the problem you described. I've done something which will hopefully sort that out now.

TBH, IE is crap like no other! Safari on mac is working properly. But, for work I have to use IE because of some sensitive web pages which are optimised for IE ONLY

Whatever microsoft touches, turns to a pile of s...t. Latest example: Skype has become unusable now since the M$ takeover of the company...
