I'm Alex from Greece. I read the forum for several time but I have not yet introduced myself. Thank you for all the DIY guides which are quite handy.
I have the 1.4 model (panther black) which has a knackered big end bearing due to oil starvation. I have sourced an 1.7 conversion package (thanks Ian) which I plan to fit in the next few weeks.
We have the car in the family from new (2000) and and is in good condition bodywork-wise. Due to the weather there are no rust headaches to worry about. The only changes are fiesta st front brakes, powerflex bushes, eibach springs, OEM revalved dampers and 16" Compomotive MO5 wheels.
The funny thing is my brother has an 1.7 puma which some tasty mods (LM3 cams, FRP inlet, Miltek manifold) which is used fairly often for trackdays.
