Hi everyone. I had a lovely panther black ‘98 13 years ago and want to get on the Puma ladder again. I’ve put an ad in wanted section. I’m after one of the special editions (black, thunder or millenium) with the leather int. PM me if you have a good one with maybe just a little tin worm. I’ve got a few toys and one nice classic and want to add a Puma “Keeper” to the collection. I’m in Peterborough area. If you have any meets around this area let me know. I won’t turn up in a Puma just yet, but maybe you can help me with that!!

Welcome to the site!

Good luck with your search, I think I saw a Thunder come up for sale on the Facebook (FPOG) group over the weekend, if you aren't on there I could see if I can find the details?

Actual meets used to be quite regular in the Peterborough area (I lived in Hampton when I owned my Pumas). As the levels of Pumas decreased and the enthusiastic owners became fewer the meets became harder to organise and eventually just stopped happening. I'm sure one day it will re-ignite.

If you're in to shows then the most local one of the year for you will be Fiesta in The Park which is held down at Wood Green Animal Shelter now, details are already up in the meets section.

Good luck with the search, there's always some for sale but increasingly they're MoT failures due to the bodywork. Note that not all leather interiors are the same: Black and Thunder used (I think) standard Fiesta leather seat while Millennium used Recaros.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. That’s a good topic, Which of the specials. The millenium was deffo done by some Color blind individual..yellow, no wait YELLOW, that’s a better description of zinc yellow  and dark blue Recaros. Really?!who thought that would be a good combination... I prefer the black and the thunder. Just because the colours look better. Shame the recaros were all dark blue. Again why? If someone could pm me thunder details from Facebook I’d be obliged. Cheers all. Pete

No leads yet. Seen a few but too bad underneath. C’mon guys, help me out here!!

You can buy a leather dye kit and dye them black which is quite straight forward. I think it was Barry that did it in his project thread, I just copied the idea off him when I got a millennium interior for mine.

What appears to be current Facebook ads on the group

"]Due to unforeseen circumstances I’m having to sell my lovely Ford Puma. You’ll be buying from a genuine enthusiast who loves these little cars.

This one is the ‘Thunder Edition’ and is the 9th but last one of the production line.

Now it’s not perfect in some places and the light has come on where it indicates the door, bonnet or boot isn’t shut properly and I do have the spare parts for this. (It might need a spray of electrical contact cleaner to correct this)

Good things about this lovely car......

Rust free wheel arches and in good condition body wise. Having been waxoiled with dinitrol treatment in the sills and coated underneath too. Generally the body is in good condition.

All electrics work as they should.

Interior is in great condition with no rips and tears and the 6 disc and radio works as it should
The leather interior is in good condition too.
It has the original matts too

Mechanically I have done the servicing myself on a religious basis changing the oil and filter every six months with the best oil. Cambelt was changed in 2017 by an independent Ford specialist near Norwich and the clutch was done last year in July 2019 approx 500 miles ago.

There is really nothing wrong with this car. I have all the paperwork, keys and lots lots more. Including magazines old and new about the Ford Puma, workshop books and more.

Spares, I have .......
Immaculate unused Ford Puma steering wheel
Ford Puma leather interior
Bonnet
Bumper
Show plates that have never been used
..... and lots of other little bits and pieces.

History of the car is this. I’m the third owner, second owner was a teacher who lived in Essex near the famous Ford testing area (Dunton) and the first owner was a daughter of someone important at Ford head office at Warley near Brentwood in Essex. I do have pre inspection sheets near the time it was brought.

The car have covered approximately 74,000 miles and is mot’d until the end of May. Please note it is sorn’d over the winter months. It will be down to you to tax and insure.

Please no time wasters as I used to have one when they first came out. So I know a lot about these great little cars. 👍🏻

I’ve probably forgotten to list other great good points about this car and will add when I remember 😊.

Hi everyone, new to this site despite my wife owning a Millennium Puma for 10 years.
However we have decided to sell the much loved car due to lack of use. The car is mechanically good and has always had any repairs done regardless of cost. The bodywork (rear arches in particular) has suffered in the last year as we have stored the car on a farm while working in France. The car is sorn, no MOT, has 65,000 miles, full service history, 3 owners, all old MOT certs, all bills/receipts present and interior is in great condition with original floor mats but with a little wear on the drivers bolster. The car started first click after being stood still for 10 months. I took it for a drive and it was fantastic, everything worked, sounded great, no noises and no warning lights on the dash. It is booked in for an MOT on the 13th and the selling price will depend on the out come (could fail due to rear wheel arches me thinks). We are open to reasonable offers before or after MOT test.
We are away until the 12th so we have no recent pics to post. We are trying to generate interest with people who want to keep it on the road and not dismantle or break, there has been way too much work done for that. Our new seasonal work in France unfortunately does not include taking it with us as we have a camper van now.
We did take some pics early last year in the hope of listing it but decided not to sell as Marja truly does love this car. She thinks someone should be enjoying it now though rather than letting it stand still year after year. Check the MOT checker with the reg so you can get an idea of how much work has been done (i.e what ever it failed on, we had replaced/repaired).

Look forward to your responses

Thanks everyone. My search is continuing this week. I actually want a yellow canary after seeing there’s only 148 left on the road through how many left. Wish me luck 👍

Well I got a good one I think. Think it belonged to someone on here?! W128 OBX?
