Parcel shelf....quick cheap fix.

Post by RICHARD MANSFIELD2 » Wed Jun 22, 2016 10:55 am

Hi.
I have found a fix to the parcel shelf problem it takes 10 seconds and requires no materials whatsoever.

If you look to the underside of your parcel shelf you will see that the rubber buttons are fixed to the plastic bracket by a metal rod. Get a panel pin hammer or similar and gently tap the pointed end of the rod so it is flush with the plastic bracket. The shelf then becomes a tighter fit in the plastic cutout that it fits into. I did this three weeks ago and the parcel shelf has not come out at all.

Regards,
Richard.

MY METHOD: I just tied 2 knots on top of each other at the bottom on each side. Done.
That made the ropes tight and only came off once in the last few months :)
