Hello,

There are some news of my Puma since this loooonnng time

at the begin of the year, i've had problem with the central locking,
and after some research on the car there is the biggest problem

the door connector Was rotten by the humidity

i take some connector for free on a dead focus 1 to rebuild and replace mine, and i replace the door loom
and it's works perfectly

after that, i'veput an stainless steel exhaust to replace the old rusted
Pumabuild manifold, homemade flexi pipe decat, Milltek cat back

i've replaced rusted brake line

i've use this tool

to make this

This part make my A/C leak

and compressor gasket also leaking ... it's possible to found new gasket for it ?
i can't found the valve in france,

cam cover gasket is replaced,

After all this work, do some small walk with friend

The compressor is Ford type FS10. Try specialised shops and ask them for overhaul kit for FS10 compressor. In it will be all the seals and gaskets that need replacing and it will work as new. Sometimes you can spot FS10 kit on eBay, but I haven't seen any in a while

Thank you so much !!!

i've looked quickly on the net, and these gasket are cheap !
i never do gasket change on A/C compressor, but i think it's possible without special tool ?

i prefer this solution to change the compressor (min 200€ for uncertain quality)
or buy A used compressor that was badly stored And which has taken moisture during a lot of time ....

I found some photos with menbers of "planète puma" Which dates from the beginning of July

i think some people will recognize the place

Did you find where is it ?

No need for special tools. Just be careful when dismantling the electromagnetic cluch: there is a spacer for proper operation. Everrything else is easy. Don't clean internals as you'll be needing the oil inside. That is special oil and add some (cca 20-30 ml); the rest will be suplied when regassing the system.

Thanks :)

No problem for the oil, i have a little bottle of air con oil at home
Which I had recovered for this kind of use,

For the regassing, Before I had the equipment to do it, but since I no longer work in a garage ....

Hello,

I replaced the genuine basic audio system by the platinum system with amplifier audio filter aud sub-woofer
i have the bigger part of the genuine loom,

but it missing the connector of the power supply and the connector of the blue/purple little wire

i search and read electrical diagram to try to understand it,

i connected the power supply of the amplifier to the wire of the heated windscreen protected by a 40 amp fuse ....

but .... i have a problem ... the amplifier consumes power when the 6000cd radio is off and the ignition is off :? :?

i take the wrong wire ? :?:
or the amplifier have a problem ?

Don't know if it will help, but have a look at my thread for my FRP as I put a Platinum system in it. I did it the original way and unplugged the heated screen from behind the radio, and then plugged in the amp.

https://www.projectpuma.com/viewtopic.php?t=28244&start=75

Thanks !
(i read your FRP thread ... You did a great job, look better than new  )

If I understood correctly to use the platinum system, i need Disconnect the power supply of the heated screen ?

On the picture I see 2 wire, a red (i think its power supply) and an other ...

What is the second wire ? earth ? or Or a wire from the radio ? to turn on/off the amplifier ?

Hi Alex - from memory it's a perm live (thick red one) and an ignition live (black one). There is also an earth that connects to the body within a few inches of the amp in the boot.

The FRP is away getting serviced at the moment, so I'll take some pictures for you when I get it back

Nice effort there! May I trouble you for the location tool dimensions, please?

On sidenote, you really need to put some spacers at rear or do the rear disc conversion to widen the rear track

And how are those GE bulbs? Are they as good as they claim them to be?

Thanks

1) You want the dimension of this ?

687474703a2f2f693431312e70686f746f6275636b65742e636f6d2f616c62756d732f70703139382f616c323030312f34395f7a70737579366a6f3773662e6a7067

i can take them, but on my model it's not the perfect dimension on the diameter, ... it's an experiment replica of

https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Subframe-Alignment-Pins_211369408.html

you have a lathe to made it ? maybe i can make some other subframe tool ...

2) the widening of the rear track is in the to do list

3) How are those GE bulbs ?

How you can see, they aren't look light xenon 6000k,
but it's lightly brighter than the original

and it's a lot more efficient than classic bulb for the hight beam

i have buy these on https://auto-lamp.de/de/

but for low beam i have 6000k xenon with alloy balast (ebay)

if you can look the result of the xenon

hello,

there is some news about the car

news coilovers
54_zps24am1qwq.jpg

its very different part look to the original, it's use hight pressure system from bilstein
associated with full powerflex bushes, it's really change the car !

but it's not the most confortable combo for a road car .....

the second modification is also interesting
56_zpsqrlsibay.jpg

it's not plug & play, i do a lot of modification but it's run with a standard ecu with frp map on the car.

it's need other modification ... with the alternator and the throttle accelerator cable ...

Hi,

The S1600 intake finaly works after a few modification
55_zpsekqgfsml.jpg

a custom alternator bracket
because this modified genuine is to close

57_zpsvxdb3f4k.jpg

and i change the throttle cable and made a news throttle cable bracket

1.7 lhd genuine cable is too short .... maybe rhd is too long ???

so i search the best and simple way .... lhd zs fiesta/1.6 puma works fine ... just need a custom throttle bracket inspired by an 1.8 td mondeo bracket ....

pictures is coming soon

Hello !
Now the puma run fine with the new intake,
but eat a lot of 5w40 oil .... so i try some 5w50 valvoline ... it's better !!

i'm waiting about some parts ... 20mm billet spacers, frp hose intake,

and i bought an other 1.7 engine to rebuild, and a other stainless exhaust to try to have a better sound

and There are some cool picts of my Puma

hello  ,

I continue my monologue

news part are mounted on the Puma

20mm rear billet spacers
photo_2__57652.1405355977.1280.1280_1024x1024.jpg

25mm front spacers eibach, why this choice ?? (20mm is too thin, need to cut the wheel stud, and i don't want, and i'm afraid 30mm is too much outside the wheel arch :? :? )
