As some of you may know i had a 2002 msb puma about a year ago but sold it due to it getting high mileage and thinking i want a st170, i have two cars atm but am selling my st and keeping the puma.
Apparantly its not msb even though it looks like it, its slightly more deeper blue almost purple, the v5 says blue so thats no help, anyway i bought this 1998 s reg puma from a lady on ebay, sold as spares or repair with faulty fuel pump.
I wont say how much of a steal i got it for as it will upset people lol.
Anyway.... Got it trailered back from essex to kent courtesy of RAC
Two days later towed it to my friends garage/mot centre and £50 and covered in petrol and an hour or so later the fuel tank was out and no bolts broke removed the faulty pump and replaced with new unit, all bolted back up with a new fuel filter for good measure. Two primes of the pump and she fired into life, oh joy! Runs very nicely with no issues.
So i am one happy bunny, been doing odd jobs to it such as-
Spark plugs changed
New pollen filter
Replaced a few interior trim clips broken or missing
Gearknob polished up with a drill and some compound
Shortened aerial
Tyre pressures set to 31
Adjusted throttle cable so no slack
Sprayed dash heater vents silver
Changed headlight bulbs to halfrauds supreme ultra super duper 9005's
Removed idle control and cleaned with brake cleaner
Steering wheel got intensive tar remover'd
K&n panel filter fitted and airbox de-resonated
Parcel shelf metal pins pulled out to stop it falling out
Locks wd40'd
You know i think thats it for now, i have so much more to do but
Not a lot is going to happen until i sell my focus st170.
Anyway heres some pics i took today enjoy
