Hello everyone! :)

So I got my car not even a week ago, and I now decided to make a "projectPuma" thread for it. It will probably be quite a slow project.

It's a 1,7 litre engine, and it has been run 160,000 km = about 100,000 miles. The steering wheel is on the right side, which is on the left side and not the wrong side. Left side is the right side to have the steering wheel! :)

The car is in pretty good shape, one sad thing about it is that it has two different kind of blues on it, so that will need a respray. In the future I will lower it as it's just to high for my taste.

I will in a close future change rims for it (and paint the original wheels to use for winter).

The blinkers on the sides are yellow and I was thinking of changin them to whites. Is it the same that is used on the fiesta or does Puma have their own blinkers?

This project will go pretty slow, but I hope you will follow me through the journey! :)

Here's a small list on what I want to get done! :)

• Polish lamps
• Lower the car
• change blinkers to white
• Change rims
• Paint original rims
• Respray (parts of it)
• Straighten up steering wheel
• Stripes on the sides

Here's some pictures of it! :)

as you can see the backbumper is more light blue!

So yesteraday and today I spent some time in first sandpapering the lights with 1000 water paper. After that I polished them. I first tested to just polish them which didn't work so I had to go with the sandpaper that works perfectly. It's still not perfect but atleast it's a big improvement. :grin:

Tonight I did some cleaning on the car and also tested how the car would look with stripes on the sides. Tell me what you think! :grin:

I also found these spring kit that is pretty cheap but they seem to be in also quite good quality: http://www.pumaspeed.co.uk/showdetails.jsp?productID=386&manufacturerID=1&makeID=2&modID=12" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Once again tell me what you think! :)

I don't know are FK Automotive springs any good, but these seem quite cheap to me: http://www.carparts-tuning.co.uk/Suspension-Tuning/Lowering-springs/Lowering-springs-High-Tec-Ford-Fiesta-Ka-Puma.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I don't know how this differs from coilovers but there is also cheap suspension kits: http://www.carparts-tuning.co.uk/Suspension-Tuning/Sport-Suspension/Sports-suspension-High-Tec-35-40-mm-fit-for-Ford-Fiesta-JAS-JBS-Ka-RBT-Puma-ECT-Mazda-121-tuning.html?listtype=search&searchparam=ford%20puma" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I google'd a bit and the store seems to be legit eventhough it has so low prices, but I can't be sure.

Yeah, the prizes seems to be a bit low!I don't think I want to take the chance to go with them without any more info on them, someone else who got them? The prize seems to be too good to be true!

But too be fair, the prize on the 1st one is is lowered from 121 and the 2nd from 160!

---------updatet------------------

The same as the second one is for sale for 200 on amazon, so the may just be amazingly cheap!? :)

Atleast in some Opel forum they were happy with that shop two years ago: http://www.corsa-c.co.uk/forum/archive/index.php/t-393254.html?s=49bc4142ef2a3d05a480f0636efa77c0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
You can also select Paypal as payment method which will help you if you experience any problems.
But this doesn't seem good: http://www.reviewcentre.com/Car-Modification-Kits/FK-Automotive-www-carparts-tuning-co-uk-reviews_1805911#Reviews" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
So it seems to be 50/50 that should you order from there or from somewhere else.

Welcome, nice looking motor you have there, not sure about the white stripes though as it makes the car look higher than it really is.

Interesting white Escort in the background as well

Thanks! Haha, the Escort in the background is actually a mk3 (quite rare). We have been doing some driving on the ice with it! :)
