Looking forward to this... keep the pictures coming!

I'd love to buy a project car and slap an FRP body kit and suspension setup.. but at the moment my part-time job and sh*te wages won't allow it

Seems sensible to me to rebuild with fibreglass then reshape and fill as needed, filler on its own may well chip out again at a later date.

Following this one with interest, keep the pics coming

I think you need to put a skim of filler on though because of you prime straight on top the fibreglass aorta sooks it up. I may be wrong, but that's what I was told when I was panel beating.

Thanks m8 so build it up into the kinda shape and go over it with filler .also the the inside edges of the wing are cut fibreglass exposed any idea what I put over it so it isn't exposed fibreglass resin maybe or just filler to seal it.

If its not visible once its on the car a good coat of fibreglass resin is probably all you need to seal it, just make sure it will keep moisture out.

Yeah just a wee skim. IME fibreglass (at least the shredded stuff out the pot) is almost impossible to get a smooth finish with anyway. You will likely find there are wee pits in it where air bubbles got trapped during application. A decent quality fine filler will sort this and can be rubbed pretty darned smooth.

Agree with zinc re the exposed fibres, the resin is actually waterproof/non-porous (so long as you don't miss any bits! :p)

Ok thanks .

Made a template of my original wing were this one is broken out of paper to make get the ruff shape.made a start gona build it up in a few layers .

Just out of interest, can you telle how much wider each arch is compared to standard?
Will be keeping an eye on this one as I'll be asking Kizza to make me one of these kits up soon.

Not sure I think the wheel space is 30mm wider .filling and sanding the wings at the mo But little holes keep appearing so annoying but think they are finally ready for some primer now .il put some photos on when they primed .also struggling getting it on Propley like the right gap down the door and were it meets the a pillar and can't find any other photos of people with the kit so not sure what's right and not .
