Wild E means a universal joint plugged between the socket and your ratchet. You may be able to tighten the bolt with that, mines just a standard manifold and I can't remember it being a problem to tighten with the headlamp out.

On my FRP it's a socket head bolt, makes it a bit easier to do with a long hexagon Allen key. Still is a pig to do though.
I can imagine trying to get a normal socket on there being very difficult.

FRP's are fitted with socket head bolt to get over this issue.

No. Don't think my local ford know what a FRP is. It will have a finis number more like to be a 909 number but if someone can point you in the right direction of the old FRP parts list it could be on there.

Failing that take size of your old bolt length and pitch size and order one online.

Cheers

I think they're 8mm thread. Just search for ' socket cap screw' and find the one same length as your old bolt.

The allen bolt will be the answer to your problem.

Fitting will be easy if you us a ball head allen keys like these..

Yes, I think so.
It`s probably a different pipe on the frp than the std 1.7.
I`m sure one of the guys who`s done the conversion will let you know for certain.

No, It comes from the solenoid valve which sits behind the brake servo on the (plastic) bulkhead
