So my brother has finally out grown his days of wanting to "stance" cars and realised that actually driving them as fast as possible is much more fun.
After 25 years of always copying his big brother he's gone and bought himself a V reg puma for a bargain £350!! Cambelt was recently done and apart from a few rust scabs and a dent on the n/s/r quarter its pretty much a mint car.... Almost a shame to rip it to bits!
First track day is also booked for Mallory on 21st May so progress has been pretty rapid on this, a whole list of parts have been ordered and fitted.
We'll start from the beginning.
The car in its unmolested state.
Fixing leaky rocker gasket
Quite abit had leaked into the spark plugs....
Time for the fun to start... Stripping out and guess who got that job, Me!
Removing all the sound deadening
Cleaned up and gave the boot a few coats of red to smarten it up a bit
Front stripped, nothing left in there now!
Had a spare set of Fox alloy wheels Dave gave them a rub back, few coats of primer and some satin black to tidy them up. Tyres to be fitted this week.
Piper exhaust that he bought, back box polished up nicely.
Fitted up nicely
Had to make a couple of holes to alloy for the harnesses to fit.
Done - Bucket seats coming next!
All that effort to fit a tow strap!!
Thats as far as we've got so far, AP Coilovers should be here this week, 300mm brake conversion its also on its way to us.
Hoping to get my spare bucket seat fitting in time for Mallory Park but just depends on time for that one.
Lots of other little touches coming, home made front splitter and whatever else I can think of!!
