So my brother has finally out grown his days of wanting to "stance" cars and realised that actually driving them as fast as possible is much more fun.

After 25 years of always copying his big brother he's gone and bought himself a V reg puma for a bargain £350!! Cambelt was recently done and apart from a few rust scabs and a dent on the n/s/r quarter its pretty much a mint car.... Almost a shame to rip it to bits!

First track day is also booked for Mallory on 21st May so progress has been pretty rapid on this, a whole list of parts have been ordered and fitted.

We'll start from the beginning.

The car in its unmolested state.

Thats as far as we've got so far, AP Coilovers should be here this week, 300mm brake conversion its also on its way to us.
Hoping to get my spare bucket seat fitting in time for Mallory Park but just depends on time for that one.

Lots of other little touches coming, home made front splitter and whatever else I can think of!!

Great stuff! Although deep inside I would have liked it to be left alone (the red paint with the props are ace together) as looked in such good nick esp for the price!

(I've spent more money recently buying a bonnet, fixing it, and buying the 4 aerocatches needed to fit it!)

looking like a great project i also bought a puma 1.7 for £350 V reg 93K on the clock and struck gold how much did you pay for the AP coilovers? as im after some. Did you put the silver heat resitant tape on the engine side of the bonnet?  i was lucky with my Puma as it had a old lady owner for the past 4 years and has never been fraped only one bad point about my body was the usual dreded wheel arch rust which hapens on all pumas unfortunatly!
have fun

AP's were about £320 from venom motorsport I think.... My brother put the heat tape under the bonnet, he obviously got bored while I was underneath the car fitting the exhaust!

Brakes going on today, had a right bonus with them, 300mm front conversion inc as new yellow stuff pads, grooved discs and the goodridge braided lines for £140.. BARGAIN!!

Coilovers might go on today as well but we'll see what happens.

More progress this weekend, spent Saturday afternoon fitting the coilovers. Didnt get round to doing the brakes just yet.
