Well, after 2.5yrs loyal service as a daily driver and fun car , Pixie is having a rest.
Amazing running costs over this period, between 38-45 mpg depending on season, tyres , 2x rear wheel bearings, alloy wheel repair from pothole damage. She only cost me 900quid back then and now at 21yrs old I will repay her service!.
I am off work on furlough leave due to Covid-19 and boredom got the better of me - I cleaned the car inside and out......
Removed nearside wheel arch liner and set about a clean and rustproof/paint.

looking good so far hey?
Sills looked good, so I cleaned off the Ford underseal and found pinprick holes.......which I cleaned up so I could 'deal' with them.

So, never go into a 'little job' with just a screwdriver.........
Out pops welder...........and grinder......

Inner sill /chassis part cut back and I made a small repair plate which I spot welded at first and stitched up ready for cleaning and prepping for outer skin.

Fortunately the main chassis leg by the rear suspension mount is super good.
Stay tuned for more Pixie updates.
