Good Morning all

I have recently been given a Puma from a family member that has been sitting in a garage for 2 years or so. However during that time the garage has been leaking so the car is in a bit of a poor state.

I know it did fail it's last MOT on welding but I have more pressing issues to take care of before that.

The car is currently stuck in the garage not starting and with seized brakes. The handbrake was left off the car but brakes have still stuck on.

It will be a very very slow project as I a currently out of work so money is tight. Still we will get there with it even if it takes years.

I have taken some pics which i will add up once I figure out how to!

Regarding your stuck rear brakes A failsafe method to unstick them is to take a long, blunt cold cut chisel or bar against the drum and give it a couple of sharp taps with a hammer,no need to remove the wheel. This usually releases the shoes.
Also, when trying to start an engine that's been stood for that length of time I'd remove the spark plugs, take out the relay for the fuel pump(to avoid bore wash from over fueling),then spin the engine on the starter motor until the oil pressure light goes out,it'll turn over very easily due to no compression.
Fresh fuel would also be best.
Best of luck with your project.

Welcome, good luck with the project. Once you've reach two posts I think you should be able to choose the add files button in posts to add images.

Thank you for the advice. I am hoping to go back along the garage today to see if I can get the brakes freed off

That looks like a Thunder model to me,does it have a leather interior..I can't quite make it out on the photo's?
Hopefully you can get the brakes unstuck.
If it's the front calipers that are seized, sometimes it's best to remove the wheel, undo the slider pins and lever the caliper off the disc, then you can at least roll the car till you unstick the caliper piston. :)

It is a Thunder model complete with leather interior and original 6 disc changer.

Still have not had a chance to get brakes freed off. I have been trying to find a replacement fuel pump but seem to be struggling. I also need an ABS sensor too. Anybody know anywhere to get decent second hand parts for puma other than Ebay?

If you can find just the pump (I bought one from EuroCarParts a few years back) it is possible to change just the pump, keeping the original sender unit.
