Hi,
I had the very good fortune to by it from a very nice lady in Chelmsford She had owned it since new. She said the rear seat had only been sat in once and she never took it out if it was raining. I personally have yet to drive it. I had a test drive and it drives like a new car. I have run the engine up and backed up and down the drive. I suppose I should get out and start it up again soon. I think it has only done 50 miles since it was MOT'd in March.
Regards,
Richard.

Hi,
Time for an update. I have had the Puma for about a year now. I have only driven it for fifty yards up and down the drive. It is booked in for an MOT on 18.03.2016. also a cam belt change first one in its life at 14K and sixteen years old, plus its third service.Having looked at the history it has never failed or had any advisory's. I plan on not doing so much sailing this year and will try to do a few car shows. Having been down the road of the Mini scene I know winch ones are the best to do. BUT on the Ford front I am not sure which ones to go for, perhaps with the support of fellow Puma owners I can sort it, Help!

Regards,
Richard.

The Battlesbridge Ford show is a good "local" show, Ford Fair is good but does have some knobs in attendance as most national shows do.
Would be good to let people see it, a non crusty low miler would be great to see as a reference/aspiration point. On another point, Modern Classic Magazine may well be interested in a feature, they've just posted a "who's got one?" post on their facebook page. It's a cracking mag if you've never read it.

Just been able to remind myself of this stunning Puma. I think we all wish ours were like this. The fact it's probably ever seen a glimpse of rain is why it's this good!

Richard, if you decide (or indeed need, you seem pretty handy) that you want this properly undersealed, my brother (Based in Wickford) does this and paint restoration for a living.

He does all sorts of special metal toys :) Say Rob referred you from the Puma forum if you get in touch

Hi,
Well, I have had the silver Puma almost a year and had never driven it. So today I took the plunge, I Insured and taxed it. I put it on a classic policy with Adrian Flux only £211 that is with agreed value and without a no claims bonus.
Any way I took it on a forty mile drive along lanes in and around Essex and Suffolk. It was a totally different drive compared with my black Puma. Comments have been made on the site that messing around with standard suspension may degrade the handling. I must say my mods of springs and spacers with the ST 170 wheels vastly improve the handling compared with my standard car. Also the FRP exhaust system and cold air feed make the black Puma so much more responsive. While I was out the mileage clicked over to 14000. I also gave it a wash before tucking it up back in the garage. I hope to take it to a few shows this year.

Regards,
Richard.

I can't believe how few miles that's moved since last MOT

Great news on the pass with no advisories, must be a rarity!

Hi,
This will probably be my last post on this thread. Regrettably due to a drastic change in my circumstance this Puma is now up for sale.
A full add. will appear in the for sale section.

Regards,
Richard.

Sadly:
a) the car is made for driving on the wrong side of road
b) the car is 1600 kms away (give or take few hundreds of kms)

If that weren't the cases, I'd jump for it
