Thats a horrible job to do, Its the one I dreaded the most but like you say a powerful heat gun does make life easier.

Deffo go for a matte/satin colour on your interior a friend of mine painted the inside of his car bright white... was bloody awful!

I think im going to go a satin silver/grey finish for the interior with matte black cage...... just need to make my mind up on what cage to buy.

Yeah I've seen bright white in an interior, Luke's (aka Luca) and fiesta zetec turbo, good for what he wanted but I bet during bright sunshine track days must be blinding, probably have to wear a limo black tinted visor plus sunglasses!

You going for a bolt in or weld in cage jay?

I think im going to go for the safety devices 6 point but build on with door & harness bars. It will probably end up being welded in anyway.

sounds good matey! i'm still in talks with this guy about a full roll cage for my puma welded in, but he may use my car to setup a jig for a bolt in one and pass on to sell to the public

hey guys!
yes I still have this project on going just taking a little longer than expected lol! as all projects do

so little changes to the engine bay area

changed to manual steering rack and upgraded anti roll bar bushes to powerflex black series

instead of sourcing a fiesta mk4 column, I bought a manual steering rack coupling joint and just re-engineered the existing lower column for it to fit and it works perfectly!! some realignment required but shouldn't be too much of an issue!

plus removed some unnecessary metal brackets for space and loosing a few kg's

that's all for now but need help with some colour choices,

as the engine bay is getting clearer, i'm debating on using either matt black, satin black or a satin gun metal grey. so any help appreciated please guys

I think it's just a normal mk4 fiesta one stu, got it off eBay for cheap. Not sure about lock to lock but not really bothered if it's more than the power steering unit as it's about the weight loss and optimum power from the engine.

Whoever is thinking about refurbishing their brakes but not sure how to do it or wouldn't want to risk interfereing with a safety aspect of their car, and also would like a nice paint finish?

Well BiggRed is your answer, I got my whole set of st170 calipers fully refurbished and coated in a lovely premium blue all for £260! When I calculated the costs for new sets of rebuild kits and powdercoating the calipers, the cost is pretty much the same but you get a professional job with BiggRed here's some porn for anyone that would like to see
