[post]361033[/post] A lot of rusting.... :)
The old girl has already seen off many a young whipper snapper who has gone to the great scrapheap in the sky and due to 'measures' taken, I don't dread each MOT and reckon she'll be good for a few more years yet. We'll see.

AMEN to that ....

It's somewhat overshadowed by the 25th Anniversary of the Escort Cosworth and 15th Anniversary of the Focus RS mk1.

The Ford Puma Owners Group on Facebook will be attempting to get 100 Pumas to Ford Fair as a show of force, cos Ford Fair weren't interested in doing anything like a parade lap or whatever to celebrate the Puma.

I'll be cracking open a can of diet coke on July 7th when my oldest Puma turns 20 years from registration, actually built June 25th. I'm hoping that our stand can do the car proud. I'm even considering bringing the P reg along on a trailer for the stand if that's allowed.

P Reg? You must have one of the very earliest Pumas Redexr. I wonder what happened to Fords' prototype Puma, presume there would have been one - probably in a museum somewhere?

Don't know about the prototypes but every registration number I've seen on cars featured in the motor mags at launch are either no info or not taxed in ages, not even showing as sorn. Unforuanately my P reg needs some work but only has 80K on the clock. In January I bought a December 97 R reg with only 50K on it and I have that on the road. Both cars are jewel green, along with the wifes 34,000 mile Thunder currently having a rest for 3 years while she plays with MINI's and our 99K 02 runabout red Puma I seem to be gathering quite a collection.

go here, click on vehicle and put your reg is a check, should come up with a load of info

It can't be 20yrs of the Focus RS. 25yrs of Escort Cosworth yes. If Ford Fair aren't interested in celebrating 20yrs of the Puma they can ram it, I won't go. I'm not on Facebook but it appears that's where everyone is these days, most forums are dead aren't they. I won't be going on Facebook either I might add.

Maybe we'll get our special day on the 25th Anniversary of the Puma.

Just need to stop them eating themselves for another eight years

You don't need to be on Facebook - the Facebook group points everyone here to join the Project Puma stand.

pumamartin kindly put this post up - 20 Years Ford Puma meeting, Cologne (D) http://www.projectpuma.com/viewtopic.php?f=184&t=30736 A visit to the Puma factory would certainly have made it interesting... but not sure about the camping bits (too old for that nonsense  ).

It's quite sad that there's not much else in the UK for what I assumed was quite an iconic car for Ford.

That was useful - thanks redexr! Mine built 19.11.2001, so some way to go before officially 20 years old!

Does anyone know when the last one officially rolled off the production line?
