Hi, my racing Puma is due a timing belt and water pump replacement. Will the standard timing belt and water pump spec from a 1.7 Puma suffice? Or is there anything different I need to consider for a racing puma.

Thanks

The Cambelt Kit and Water Pump are the same for the standard Puma and the FRP. However, the Locking Tools are different.

Pumanoob AKA Eroll williams on Facebook, kindly posted a few years back a workaround for timing the cams on a FRP . So have a search on the forum for his post. The FRP tool is rare and expensive to buy. Iirc the inlet timing is a few degrees different on the FRP.
