Bonnet will not open!

Had the bonnet open multiple times and I have tried today with the release being slack with no tension and with one side now lower on the bonnet which could be related, would appreciate if anyone had any tips or ideas for opening the bonnet and fixing it. Thanks in advance.

Try wd40 or similar in and around the catch mechanism at the front of the bonnet. Good luck.

Once you get it opened, clean any crud and use proper lube spray in the mechanism to hopefully prevent it happening again.
