I replaced a door on my Thunder and decided to remove all the parts I could to keep as spares, the lock was a nightmare to remove, spent hours trying to get the cover off and that was indoors when I could turn the door to any position I wanted. After that I decided to not bother changing the lock at all.
I'm sure somebody will be more helpful.
