Hi I’m looking for advice regarding the location and the process to replace the engine timing sensor. Any help will be appreciated.

Should have mentioned it’s a 2001 Puma Black 1.7 engine.

The crank sensor is located at the front of the engine below the starter motor.

It is held in with a bolt - 10 or 8mm.. can't remember.

It pulls out to the left (if looking at the front of the car) and will be quite hard to remove if it's been in there a good few years.

Thanks for your reply and assistance, will get the car jacked up and try and replace. I think the sensor is causing a non start situation. Car has been so reliable up till now!
