Hello Richiecon,

Welcome to our little corner of the Internet.

Hopefully you find the site useful, make yourself at home.

Thank you for accepting me.. since I posted I've had a senior moment and totally forgotten where I've placed the only key I got with car luckily enough I didn't lock it so still can gain entry.. but problem now is that I live in lreland and who what where to get replacement key any idea,s help would be much appreciated

:pinkeye: no idea from me but it sounds expensive either way. Good luck.

Check your pockets!!

Joking aside, I remember years ago when I was a kid my mum lost her keys & was f'in & blindin. We got a mouthful off her for no reason then I noticed a key chain fob hanging out her jeans pocket & said is that them?. Never even got an apology.

Ever since that day I gave her stick for it as she did it repeatedly thereafter. Got to admit though, if I lose mine I check the pockets on me first as I have known to do the same thing once in a while

Believe me I have searched everywhere (pockets fist port of call ). All the usual spot's we have for keys back and forth numerous times , searched my daily drive NADA ..now I'm worried .. so any one else have a idea or info regarding a ney key I know there's a chip to match the transponder any help much appreciated.

If you have no keys you will probably need an auto locksmith to code you a new one.

They have the red transponder chip inside which is coded to the immobiliser so even if you have the right shape blade to unlock the car and disengage the steering lock, you'll need that to start it.

This is the process from one locksmith company I've never used:

Code:
1. Call The Auto Locksmith to discuss your situation and obtain a no obligation quote
2. Agree a time slot for our auto locksmiths to come out to you and make your replacement key
3. Our auto locksmith arrives at your car and starts by gaining entry to the vehicle
4. A new Ford key is cut to fit your locks. Read more about our Ford car key cutting service
5. Using specialist tools our locksmith programs the new key to your Ford
6. After you have tested the new key and are fully happy we take payment. We accept cash or card

Much appreciated Red.. still haven't found key so must proceed as above..thank you..
