Hi all,

I bought my puma as my first car a month ago and I love it. Only problems so far have been the rear beam bushings, which I've just replaced, and some cigarette smoke staining from the previous owner. I've taken the ashtray out, but I can't figure out how to remove the socket itself so i can clean it all. There is some sort of pin on the plastic edge which prevents it from coming out, and i can't figure out how to get the metal bit separated from it.

Sorry I can't help.
I assume it's a pre 2000 Puma, as later Puma's had the lighter socket on the heater control panel, I can't advise, as I haven't managed to remove my ashtray, in which the lighter socket is loose. I had planned to replace the ashtray with the later type and use a later heater control panel.

Yeah it's a '99 model. I'm probably not even going to use it but i'd like the car to feel as complete aa possible
