after my cambelt recently broke ive been pondering what to do with it.
Ive now brought an mx5 i wanted to fix it but its just to much work for me to do on my own.

My cambelt slipped and named in the enginemount . turned the cams and all the valves Look like there moving up and down and I can turn the crank round Is it worth putting a new cambelt on or not?
Stuck on my drive atm AA towed it home. The can belt has come off and wedged it self.
Does any one think it would be worth trying to get the belt back on. I know the timing will be out. Thought about taking the head off but its a lot of work to find out I've wasted my time
probabley right with that then. just replaced had the fan belt tensioner replaced as that was making a noise but the engine was quiet after i had that done.

I used nail varnish on the aftermarket one that was in when I brought but it was only on for a few weeks till I chucked it up the garden in rage.
It was held on by grub screws and kept spinning as I changed gear so I put the leather one of my dads Subaru on.
My puma had an after market knob when I got it
managed to pick up an original from a car down the breakers for £3 yesterday so polished it up today.
I cut the head of a bolt that was the correct thread for the gear knob and put it in the drill
Then used various grades of wet and dry wrapped...
