I agree sadly, my Puma of 3.5 year failed MOT in December, mostly rust but few other bits as well, and the repair bill would be £700+...and with advisories next year I'd be looking almost the same if not more, and that's really upsetting :( So now I'm waiting and probably soon will be my last...

If it's just the colour you wanna change you'd use acryl spray after removing the carpet. Or if the condition is your concern look for a breaking one.

Hi and welcome. Heated seats and reversing camera? Just get a thick jumper if it's cold :grin: and the Pumas aren't too long so you'd be fine, the only issue is the visibility due the coupe design, so reverse slowly if necessary. The only change I did was to get a 3inch tailpipe Sportex back...

Just for future references if this happens to others, just turn the engine off immediately or the engine can get damaged and let it cool down. Do not open the cap while it's still hot as the steam will burn you!! The steam can leave from the cap it's designed like that.

Sounds like a really good example, especially the no rust part, but did you check behind the wheel arches and other spots as well, cause they probably are after 18 years. :| plus even if she's got 12 MOT and service done, stuff like cambelt and other bits very possibly needs changing as well...

So I've fitted the back box, thanks for the reply guys, and it's all good, the bore is a massive 4inches, the only things is now, that its a big item and the fitting is tight. Upwards only moves freely less than an inch and no downwards movement if I push the back box by hand. Not sure if it...

I wanted to send it back, but they guy said he has no time to deal with it and refunded the big part of it. I'll try to get a reducer sleeve, that's a good idea probably. Cheers

Hi guys Got a back box from eBay, guy said it was fitted in a Puma. The hooks add up okay, but the inlet pipe where it slides on the tube is a whole inch bigger. Around 2 inches on the Puma side and 3 inches in the back box. Any idea what should I do? Cheers

My Puma had exactly the same. The flex pipe got a tiny hole somewhere, in a few month it will suddenly blow and you'll be left with the sound of a 50cc 2 stroke moped.
