Pumas all disappeared in Ireland about 5 years ago. It happened overnight. There were 2 or 3 pages of them, then 2 or 3 cars total, then none.

I have a leak there where YOG pointed it out. What's the typical remedy for that? HCV has been replaced.

Any update on this? I doubt those side sills would do the trick. Mine, like ItsAnArse's, is rusted underneath, worryingly close to where the axle mounts to the chassis. I'll be leaving it to the welder soon, but I'd like to see at least one example of this repair having succeeded before.

Got this done. I found it easier to get the fan back in when I removed the 2 bolts on one side of the fan/radiator support beam. I should have done the same when getting the fan out. Now I notice the fan doesn't spin when the car is started. Is that normal, or have I a broken fan?

Fan won't lift up high enough to come out, and when it's moved at all it jams against the engine and dipstick housing.

Yeah, mine too, right there behind the axle mount.

I removed the dashbord to fix leaks. It helped to fix the leaks around the wiring for the fusebox on the passenger side. The more common leaks were coming through cracks in the corner of the footwells where the three walls meet. Take out the seats (not difficult), like down in the footwell...

This job is almost finished, and the steering wheel is going back on, but I have one question: Two small springs fell out of the steering wheel when I was removing it, and I can't find where they might go. Does anyone know?

Thanks for that. The photos really helped. I wish I'd had them today. Tomorrow I'll take another swing at it. I wasn't aware that the metal legs had to be unscrewed from either side of the centre console and came away with the dash. That should make a difference. Unfortunately, I pulled away...
