ive pulled the tensioner all the way and i still cant get it on. Is there any pully in perticular is the best to try and get it on too?

Im working on my 1.7 with air con puma and ive been in the process of changing my alternator belt and i cant get my new belt on. Ive being trying for ther last 6 hours. Is there any special ways of doing it cause i seriously need help here.

I bought a continental belt at 18 quid. Im fitting it tomorrow and bought a can of belt slip just to keep it quiet today.

When is my fan suppost to auto turn on. Ive owned the car 3 months and never seen it come on. I travelled 120 the other day and still it didnt kick in. My temp gauge always stays at the half way mark when up to temp. Is this normal?

Both the chain filters were draper. What was suppost to be a 30 min job has turned into 2 days.

Well today i bought a chain filter removal tool which snapped after 5 mins. Went back to the shop and got it replaced, that one last 5 mins as well. Then i decided screw it i went and bought a cro bar. Hammered it through then hammered the s**t out of it, and what do you know it finally moved...

I tried a plumbers wrench before the screwdriver and didnt budge it. The filter looks like its been on for years. Alot pf surface rust around the top. When i drained the oil it was like treacle.

Its getting a good go at it is the problem. Theres that much pipe work in the way i can hardly move my hand.

Im thinking tomorrow i need to get more leverage. So im thinking of taking off the radiator and front bumper.
