Quick update - Easily got 2 of the 4 bolts off, the outer ones seem to have had a retainer clip on top which has snapped/rusted off so theres 2 square bits of metal stopping the bolt from unscrewing! Quick spray of WD40 and a trip to Halfords for a Mole grip (lost mine) and ones off. Time for...

As a side note to this - Any ideas on how to get the last of the fuel out, put £20 in and done 130 miles on it so its just sat above empty. Obviously the fuel pump doesn't work so can't drain it that way and don't fancy siphoning it out by mouth!

Got it sorted, noticed on the car side connector that one of the wires on the power block was in a different position to the JVC side, it was a cable marked "accessory" so pulled it out and put it in the right place and voila. Worked. Happy freaking days!

The Panasonic HU works perfectly fine, remembers stations, bas and volume settings, where the CD was last played. I'm sure I don't need one of the ISO adapter kits as it already has a 3rd party HU in and they all connect up. I'm at work and it's dead atm so I'm going to have a fiddle around...
