    Ford Puma Bits

Hi, do the 9 spoke centre caps fit the Puma propellor wheels? If so, I'd like to buy them.

    Loom question

Easiest solution really is to get an 1.7 engine loom from the scrapyard. I wouldnt bother to try and adjust the 1.4 engine loom. Most likely you won't need a new interior loom, unless you got new extras, like AC.

    Loom question

I bought the complete package in advance: engine, engine loom, cabin loom etc. Placed engine and engine loom (ecu included): everything worked, although in theory the cabin loom was for a different car/engine/model than the engine loom. Later on, I put the cabin loom in that matched with the...

    Loom question

Interior loom plugs in at the cabin though, so engine bay loom goes through bulkhead, needs to be disconnected on the inside of the car and then pulled out. So still separate from interior loom, bit quite some work needed in engine bay and inside the Puma.

    Loom question

Engine bay loom is definitely seperate from interior loom. Last year I put a new engine in, replaced engine bay loom right away. I changed the interior loom 3 months later.

    Wanted: Mondeo 2.0 throttle body

Hi guys, Does anyone have a 2.0 Mondeo throttle body (958FWA) lying around that he wants to part with? I'd like to put one on my 1.7 engine, but can't find one here in the Netherlands. So, I'm looking for one that can be shipped this way. Thanks! Matti.

    Top strut nut

If all else fails, use an impact wrench (or ask your friendly mechanic too). Not benificiary for your strut though, but it will do the job.

Interior boot release mod for beginners

Thanks all for the guide, just did this. Biggest problem was guiding the wire through the car. Attaching wires to switch was easy, thanks to all the information above.

Help needed with removing air con / aux belt sqeeks

No to both questions, I really don't know. I have two reasons for my plan: I suspect my generator or another part will fail if I keep driving as is and 2: the Fiesta parts (belt excluded, still don't know for sure which one to order) I already have lying around (literally, on the shed floor). So...

Help needed with removing air con / aux belt sqeeks

If not for the distance (I suspect there lies an ocean between us), I'd suggest we partner up and tackle this job together

Help needed with removing air con / aux belt sqeeks

Hi guys, Most likely I'll have to replace my pas pump (now 1.7 engine with a/c bits): 5000km ago a new aux belt was fitted, but it has been making an irritating noise since (and its been getting louder). Because I have no use for my aircon pump, I want to get rid of it and fit a shorter aux...

Fun Autosolo Puma on a budget.

Hi G-Bob, you're absolutely right, I was thinking about fork- vs eye mount, had forgotten how to describe it though (early onset forgetfulness / too much work too little sleep). I'm out of ideas, good luck!

Fun Autosolo Puma on a budget.

There are two kinds: early Puma's/Fiesta's (untill '99 I think) and the later ones. Depending on the year your Puma is from, you'll probably need an younger/older version. Maybe contact your supplier with this question?

    FRP mystery owner

According to the Dutch website for vehicle registration it has been exported to Holland in 2008, it has had only one owner since then.

    A question of knowledge

For the first 20 years of driving (riding a motorbike actually), I did not repair anything myself. Only for the past 4 years, I started fixing things, first learning from a mechanic, then learning from forum and Haynes. My learning process has been (and probably will continue to be) slow as...

    Door mirror replacements?

Mk4-Mk5 Fiesta mirrors are the same as the Puma's...except for the black triangular part on the outside of the door (obviously the doors are different). Also, the mounting may differ, difficult to explain in English (Dutch would be easier), something about the bolts being too long/short...

    Lowering springs and struts

Hi Paul, thanks for your kind reply. Sorry for venting my frustration in your post, I'm missing all kind of parts that are hard to find here and too expensive to buy overseas. Tonight I've been changing my rear struts (already lowered the front a bit, the back was standard still). After a closer...

    Lowering springs and struts

Humpf, to meet somewhere mutually convenient would mean below sea level in my case, as I'm located in the Netherlands...you sure about shipping costs being to high? In the absence of a decent Puma forum in Holland, I'm seeing loads of parts I'd like to buy in the UK. But so far, nobody has been...

    Catalytic converter replacement part (1.6)

Looked it up on ford7zap.com, both converters have the same OEM number:1130327. If you Google this number, you will get some adds from automotive shops, in which they say it will fit both 1.6 Fiesta and Puma's. Not sure about the lambda issue, but the fastening plate problem could be related to...

    Catalytic converter replacement part (1.6)

Although the models are named differently in Holland, I have the same information here: the 1.4 and 1.6 engines placed in Puma's, were already used in the mk4 and mk5 (facelift) Fiesta's. The 1.7 engine was the only one specific for the Puma. Therefore, you should be able to use the Zetec S...
