I am after a fuel pump for a 1.7 2001 puma - working part please

Puma has been left for a while in my garage over the winter, but recently I have had time to work on my project car again. Problem I have been having has been that the car wouldn't start car turns over but doesn't start.Went thru all the ignition related diagnostics and even a new battery...

Was thinking about refitting my stereo , in two minds as it adds weight , it only weighs 3.4 kg.

With intelligent chargers you don't take the battery out to charge the ctek charges is the stuff used with high end cars and plugs into the charger socket and intelligently charges the battery pulse charging ... I think you will find the Varley , odyssey batteries are not just gel construction...

Can see the positives and negatives to this , the trickle charge process probably kills the battery slowly and the gel type batteries can retain there charge for long period of times without being trickly charged.My only concern would be that not using the car without any charge going though the...

I have an isolator switch but don't use it when not using the car and the car is in the garage? I just trickly charge it every so often?

How does it work with the ecu i would be worried cutting my engine as I do as I have the car in peices in the garage and each time I reconnect the ecu starts that damn relearning process? Or does inly happen when you disconnect the battery for x amout of time?

I agree with pumanoob dude I was advised on getting a 25 and higher battery.......... You also need to "trickle" charge these batteries using the cteks or one of the intelligent battery chargers which basically conditions the battery. I use a ctek on my standard battery usually plug it on once...

Worth an RAC check, 5k is very low 2.5k a year....... You can only run credit checks lol car is too new for an MOT check .......

I had no problems with my spacing :-),but still changed my plate.Never got stopped - but you never know when you will ..... think I got it wrong about BS ..... ( british standards - not bullshit lol) It needs to meet BSAU145d Standards to be road legal and MOT compliant.

Have you asked the question why? My only concern would be because the Mazda's are known to have issues in earlier models I would be more fussy about regular servicing unless like on the audi's you can have a mileage related servicing interval?

Does look nice and is the latest version , low mileage and looking at the ebay advert he seems to be answering questions openly and he has a 263 rating !!!!!!!!!

Welcome to Project Puma there are a few "track day" puma's in the project section , I am sure if you browse the projects section you will get some excellent idea's.

I ran my private plates on my audi originally with a slightly wider gap but changed it to a set of legal plates after about a week especially after considering that it isn't worth it if you get stopped. As martinthrapston says you need to get a set of legal plates which have the correct BS...
