1998 (S) Reg
96,000 miles
Taxed until end of April 2013.
Lady owner (my mother) - been in same family for 5 years.
Service History book (stamped up to 50k miles)
Selling as spares or repairs due to MOT failure. Will need to be trailered away obviously. The test was carried out at Ford Dealership in Warsop and are very stringent!
Engine runs fine.
Heated front windscreen
Central locking
Recently had new discs, pads.
Apparently, sometimes it takes a few attempts to get into 5th gear, but this could be down to a combination of the clutch pedal not being fully depressed fully (my mother is quite short!) plus the floor mats getting wedged under the pedal,.
Reasons for failure:
1. O/S Registration plate lamp not working
2. N/S headlamp aim too low
3. N/S front indicator incorrect colour
4. O/S front suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated
5. O/S front suspension ball joint has excessive play
6. N/S front suspension arm ball joint dust cover damaged
7. N/S front suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated
8. Parking brake lever has no reserve travel
9. N/S rear (axle bush) bonded suspension unit deteriorated
10. O/S rear (axle bush) bonded suspension unit deteriorated
11. N/S front mechanical brake component has restricted movement
12. N/S rear parking brake recording little or no effort
13. N/S rear (outer sill) seat belt anchorage prescribed area is excessively corroded.
Then there are 13 advisories:
14. N/S rear coil spring rusty
15. O/S rear coil spring rusty
16. O/S rear tyre close to legal limit
17. N/S rear road wheel slightly distorted bead rim (kerbed I assume)
18. N/S outer front CV joint gaiter damaged
19. O/S outer front CV joint gaiter damaged
20. N/S front track rod end ball joint has slight play
21. N/S front anti roll bar has slight play in a ball joint
22. Both front tyres wearing on inside edge
23. Coolant leak
24. Heat shield under car deteriorated
25. O/S and N/S rear inner sills rusty
26. O/S and N/S door arches rusty
