2004 mondeo front seat swap.

Hi all.

My mate has just asked me if it's possible to swap the front seats of his car around. By this he means putting the drivers seat on the passenger side and vice Versa. I can't think of any reasons why they shouldn't, other than the recliner wheel being on the other side. Although I'm not sure about seat belt tensioner wiring etc. His seats have no electric functions/airbags or any other complications.

Do you think it can be done, and how difficult a job is it?

The car is a 2004 mondeo LX

not sure if it will work but it not hard to take them out as there only 4 bolts holding them down but your going to need a star keys to take them out

In a word no!The airbags will be on the wrong sides (all Mk3s have side airbags built into the seats)and the seat belt clip will be on the wrong side as its built into the seat
