Just put our 2001 Ford Puma in for it's 36000 mile service. Change all fluids and filters and replace cam-belt, water pump and HC valve as preventative maintenance. Then in for it's MOT tomorrow.

Hope the service schedule has been followed on years and not miles :D

You should be on the 14 year 140,000 mile service

Good luck with the MOT

It has been serviced at least once a year and this will be the second cam-belt change at 36000 miles. Just been shown under the car by the mechanic and the crankshaft oil seal needs replacing and all the suspension bushes (original) are looking tired and fairly knackered. I have a spare set of used Ford wishbones - can anyone recommend part numbers and where to buy all the polybushes/parts to fully refurbish the wishbones ?

If you want to use polybushes rather than OE
then the type best suited to a road going Puma are Powerflex.
They come in two compounds `Black` and `Purple`
You would want the Purple ones (the Black are for race applications and are rock hard!)
They are available on fleabay, as well as places like Demon tweeks. (the prices are much the same, but you can call `Tweeks for advice ;-) )
They are listed as for the application. eg Ford Puma anti roll bar. etc.,

Thanks for that trublustu. Because of time pressures, (car on ramp now, MOT and tax nearly due) and Fords prices appear reasonable we are now replacing all wishbones and droplinks with new oem parts and deferring MOT for a day.

Passed the MOT but because the DVSA computer has collapsed only get a hand scribbled "Contingency MOT Test Certificate" and cannot tax the car with it. What a shambles every government IT project turns out to be.
