My story begins a year ago when i traded in my fiesta for my 1999 puma 1.7 in melina blue. When i purchased it, it was perfect. Slight bit of rust on the arches and a couple scratches. Dont have a pic from when i purchased her but we all know what they look like so.....any hoo

I havent been to busy in terms of modifying but i have personalised it a bit. The past year has been more about replacing damaged worn parts brakes tyres etc.

The first thing i did what fit a dvd player and a pre amped sub

It pretty much remained like that for most of last year and then begining of this year when i started to make plans for it......... this happened

Thought long and hard about scrapping her but just couldnt part with it. So New wishbone, steering arm, hub wheel and wing later she went from this

I owe a lot to this site and a few members for getting it back on the road
The car wasnt right for a long time and i hated it after the accident but kept on going. It just lost its a ppeal and didnt drive right

About 3 weeks ago i got the front lowered 40mm allong with new shocks and top mounts and today i got the back done same 40mm drop. Here she is now

In between the weeks of having the suspension done i decided to do something about the interior so i changed all the silver bits of trim and white dials and swapped them for black ones from a fiesta and an escort

Next thing is spraying the wheels black. I sprayed an old prop i had from the accident black and put it on yesterday and i loved it so will be doing all 4 in the next weeks or months. Also need to get round to changing the side repeaters to black as i think it will make the wheels look even better.
Im after a moody/ aggressive street racer look on a budget lol and feel the black on blue will give me that

Im after a new backbox too. Im looking at 4.5" slashed inward rolled oval ones but want it more for looks than sound. But a little rumble would be nice. Some 20.5 mm spacers on the back and that will do me for cosmetics. Windscreen has a massive crack all the way accross but am waiting for insurance renewal to get that done as the cheapest i can get it done is £150.

Thats my story and Thats my car

Looking good there Ben - I know what it's like when you loose the faith - but also what it's like when you get it back.

Hope to see the 2 of you soon :eek:k:

Lots and lots and lots and lots of velcro lol

Hasnt moved in inch

Ive got some L shaped brackets ive been meaning to fix it with but have forgotten about them until you just mentioned.....might do that next

@dal

We will see you and the better half in september, about time i poped my "project puma meet" cherry lol

Have got to ask..........thats the exact same sub I was thinking of getting so would love to know how you rate it? :)

To be honest im nost an expert on sound quality. In my fiesta i had a vibe twin cbr running off two 1200w mono amps. Serious headache!! I think the one i have now is just right. Doesnt take up to much space and delivers what i think is a good level of bass with out being to much. Id recommend one. The mrs wants one for her megane and told her to get one

Hope this helps :eek:k:

Just been for a spin.......OMG!!!!!!!!!

Any one who has lowered there puma will understand the smile i have on my face right now :-D

Just need to loose those "bouncy bouncy" 195/50/15 tyres now for some nice firm 205/40/17

:D

Enevetably i probably will :pose:

But because im a poor man living in a rich mans world im going to have to make to wiv props sprayed black by myself PMSL :D

Black props, i want to like them, i really do. But the finished product never lives up to how cool it looks in my head.

Hopefully yours will look ok though!

I had the same thought before I put that spare on. Thought it looked really good. Will have to wait and see

if you want me to photoshop you some black props on to your car ill be happy to do this.... but white would look MINT well for the first day of cleaning them any way ;-)

i lowered my car... but to be fair i didn't notice any REAL handing differences until i got good rubber.

see i've got the same sub.. i mean exactly the same and want it to be fitted ridged... at the moment its just wedged in with some wood! lol

ever seen the thing about killer tissue box (on parcel shelf), or tools in boots during a nasty accident...? A sub is a lot of dead weight plus lots of forces.
just a tip- always have your rear seat belts done up when not in use- this will help prevent it come into the car during an accident. (so i have been informed)

Don't think photoshop does them justice. They look nice in the flesh. White is too pretty. I don't want pretty car. Black looks moody and aggressive just what I want

black wheels will look great on your car, id recomend a lower strut brace if you havent already got one, they transform the cars handling!
