I have recently changed my cambelt on my puma following detailed instructions from a ford mechanic. The engine is running very rough. It was running fine before I started the work. Any ideas would be useful as I think I have tried everthing except the actual VCT solenoid.

It is werry easy to move the crank when fastening the crank bolt,, you should test fit the locking tools, and se if it stil lines up right...
 
I agree with Cartman, you didn't use the crank pulley bolt to pull on the crank pulley did you?
