Did a load of work to my fuel tank recently so I was pretty alarmed to see a puddle under the car yesterday. Turned out to be the rubber filler pipe which goes from the plastic filler neck to the tank.

Having had the pipe off a few times I knew it was ropey as it would leave my hands completely black every time I touched it. Anyway it's finally split and I've forked out £50 for a new one - part of the reason I kept refitting it and just hoping it would be ok.

Sorry for the picture - there is a faint mould line on the pipe and it's split along there.

So the lesson here is - check yours and if it's crumbly like mine, replace it!

BTW I never did find a suitable generic replacement as it's a weird diameter of about 42mm.

Pic doesn't work - I think because me holding a tube looks a bit phallic!!!

Is there something wrong with adding photos to the site? Can't seem to add an image...

Ok

I was aware of your post, just trying to be helpful.
Have a look at
https://ford.catalogs-parts.com/#{client:1;page:part;lang:ru;category:car;catalog:57;param:no;group:22;groupsubgroup:1558;subgroup:15537;subsubgroup:67755}
You'll need to translate t into English.
There are 2 different part nos. If you click the information button, it shows both being used on many different models, right up to 2017 !
A quick check on Ebay found this,
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272373929481
The Ford main dealer near me would probably say its NLA, as they can't be bothered, but the service dealer I use, can usually get the parts next day !
