I would like to put a Double DIN head unit into my Puma, but I understand that it's not straightforward as the factory fitted unit is only 1.5 DIN.

However, I've seen on the forum that not only have some owners managed to fit a double DIN unit but they have also done it without cutting the dash, (in complete contradiction to what I've been told by several professional fitters)!!!

The unit I'd like to fit is an Alpine INE-W925R but I'd like to get it done professionally.

Can anyone recommend a fitter in the Northamptonshire, (or surrounding) area, that could do this?

Failing that, does anyone have an idiots guide to how they did it? In case I have to resort to fitting it myself.

Many thanks.

I don't know any fitters, but I found these with a bit of googling if you already havent seen them:

It propably requires some kind of knowledge to do these since there arent any idiots guides around.

Maybe this would also help since Focus apparently has same CD-player as Puma, atleast it look likes that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kk9Rtwkn2g" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That's great thank you. I'd seen the Puma posts but the Focus video was very interesting, particularly the use of Metra installation panels. I'll look into this further, thanks.
