Been driving the Puma for week and half now and up until today its been starting after just a couple of turns of the starter basically straight away. This morning was fine but then lunch time it took a good few seconds of cranking to start and then again this evening..

Just wondering if there's anything common that this could be a sign of thats starting to fail?

Do you pause for a moment with the key in "on" before going to "start"?

If not, try it. Sometimes older fuel systems have a hard time maintaining a good prime when the pump isn't running. Taking that brief pause to allow the system pressure to build up will usually straighten it right up.

Thanks for the replies, if you know you know lol

Another question, is the engine cutting out when the steering is on full lock a common thing?
