Put in a new rocker cover gasket yesterday and when I went to move the car round the back of the house today it took a little longer to start and sounded a bit rough, almost like it was misfiring. When I went to turn it off it sounded like it was wheezing and the engine felt like it was constatly on the verge of stalling. I thought the rocker cover gasket might not be on properly but no oil appears to be leaking out. Any ideas on what's up with it?

P.S. It's a 1.4 zetec engine.

It sounds like you might have a vacuum or a breather pipe not on properly. Just check everything that you did to replace the gasket.

Can only echo what Barry has already said.

You would have needed to remove the electrical plugs for the cam sensor and the VCT, so I would check them to make sure they are plugged in properly.

Check that all your spark plugs are ok and that your leads are in the correct order to.
