Already tried - he won't split the airbox from the engine...

the only difference between the original and the made version is the type of welding

the boreham version was cut a hole add a piece of plastic tube and plastic weld it, in remakes people use either silicone or hot glue gun, as the joint is never seen it doesnt really matter.
