Having a bit of an issue with the heating. Took puma for its longest run since I got it, along motorway for about 25 minutes. When i stopped at lights the blowers started blowing hot air. When I pulled away they went cold again. I replaced the HCV with a non genuine one, which has got a slight leak, could it be related to that?

It is strongly recommended that the HCV is replace with a genuine Ford item.

It is also possible you may have air in the cooling system - the Puma engine is known for being difficult to bleed.

Yes I am starting to regret buying the non-genuine HCV. The HCV is leaking a bit too, like a whistle noise. Gonna have to fork out for a Ford one I guess.

I've never understood why a HCV is such a PITA but I'd always say given reports on here that using a genuine Ford item is the way forward.
