Bringing this back from the dead as some advice to others and to ask a quick question....
Advice: when you put the self adjust back in place and all the springs, adjust the adjuster manually so it has a firm fit on the shoes. Maybe even so it's very slightly causing the shoes to expand. If there's no tension there it won't self adjust (I learnt the hard way).
Question: can anyone confirm the torque setting for the rear hub nuts? I went about it the way YOG suggested but now don't know what to torque them up to.
